Hurdle: No existing country would cede land near shipping lanes and large markets

The Jury was unanimous in regarding the location of the Sanctuary to be a major hurdle to the new country’s formation. For economic prosperity, the new country is ideally situated near large markets or at least near major global shipping routes

The Sanctuary’s might not need to be geographically close to markets if its industries relied more on digital technology than traditional products and services
